So I know that most of you have no idea who the Youth Dreamers are, but it would mean a whole lot to me and especially to them if you would go to the link and vote… If they get 3rd place they win $30,000 but if they get 4th place they win nothing, and they need the money badly!

The Youth Dreamers are a club at a middle school, and they do better work than half the city combined. They run a “Dream House” where they offer after-school activities, homework help, a place to hang out, summer camps, and workshops, all with the goal of keeping kids off of the street and reducing illegal activity. The middle schoolers do a lot of the work and it is an AMAZING experience for them! They are learning how to be better leaders, advocates, and people. They are some of the most well-rounded and educated middle schoolers I know, but if their funding is cut they will lose a lot of the things that help them the most.

They’re in 4th place by just 5 votes as I type this, so it is a very close race and they can easily climb back into 3rd if enough people vote! Voting ends either tonight or tomorrow night (I can’t tell which, and I have conflicting information) and they will have to close the Dream House if they do not get this money.
